Current Vendors

The updated list of vendors scheduled to attend the Hanover Tomato Festival.

Vendor Applications 

  • Apply online now (www.hanoverparksrec.com - Hanover Tomato Festival)
  • Applications are being accepted online. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Hanover Tomato Festival.  
    • A limited number of vendors will be accepted in each category.
    • Applicants will receive notification of acceptance within 10 business days. 
    • If approved, vendors are required to make payment within 5 business days. If payment is not made, the vendor forfeits their acceptance and booth space.
    • Application deadline: June 1, 2023 (or until spaces filled)
  • Vendors are required to provide a complete list of all items to be sold and/or services/activities to be conducted at their booth. Vendors will not be permitted to sell items, provide services or conduct activities that are not pre-approved.
  • Vendors will be eligible for consideration in the following categories:
    • Agriculture and food products
    • Fine Arts
    • Original handcrafted merchandise
    • Hanover Parks and Recreation instructors
    • Hanover-based athletic organizations or those serving Hanover residents
    • Hanover churches or those serving Hanover residents
    • Hanover County Government organizations
    • Full service and specialty food
  • Written requests for refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis only until June 1, 2023.

Vendor Booth Details

  • Vendors will be permitted to drive one vehicle directly to their booth space for unloading and loading during designated set up and breakdown times. 
  • Each vendor will be provided with a 15 x 15 vendor booth space.
  • Electrical access is not available.
  • Generators are not permitted.
  • Raffles are prohibited during the event. 
  • Access to water is not provided.
  • Tents must be securely weighted down or staked, or you will be asked to remove them.
  • All tents, chairs, tables, and items for sale are the responsibility of the vendor. All tables must be skirted or draped.
  • The appearance of the vendor booths will be subject to inspection by the event staff.

Vendor Expectations

  • All personnel, supplies, equipment signage and storage must remain within the vendor’s space, and informational flyers and brochures must be distributed within the vendor’s space.
  • All walkways must remain clear at all times.
  • Breakdown may begin once the event is over and must be completed within 2 hours. 
  • Vendors are responsible for the collection and removal of their own trash from the event field. Failure to do so may result in a fine and/or denial in future participation in the Hanover Tomato Festival.

  • If you are selling food items and/or providing food samples, a Health and/or Agricultural Department permit is required for all food-related sales. Requirements for offering food items or samples include:
  • All vendors selling food must fill out an Application for a Temporary Food Permit (PDF) with the Virginia Health Department.
  • Vendors who have an Agricultural Inspection must apply and send a copy of their latest inspection with their application.

  • All applications must be submitted to the Health Department no later than June 1, 2023.
  • The Health Department will receive a list of vendors selling any type of food item (salsa, honey, bread, etc.).
  • Vendors selling/sampling food items must be available for inspection by the Health Inspector the day of the event. No sampling until approved.
  • Fee: $100 ($50 per day)
